Later always comes late

via Daily Prompt: Later

Later I will pray

Later I will give myself to God

Later I will have time for the people I love

Later I will work hard

Later I will smile

Later one day I will get right

Why later and not now?

Now I will get right

Now I will pray

Now I will give myself to God

Now I will spend more time with the people I love

Now I will enjoy life

Now I will laugh

Now I will be selfless

Now I will work hard at everything I do, and

Now I will do things to better my future

I finally choose to live in the now, because later once held me back. Now I look forward to the future.

Later is such a wasteful word!

Quote for the day

” A Woman that shows a divine momentum of Leadership, is a Woman who puts her needs aside to serve others, that is when she is most powerful”- Dorrisia Taylor

We all have dreams; which shall

We all have dreams

not be pondered on , but live out.

When dreams are spoken out loud,

we then speak them into existence.

So  go after your dreams and catch them,

embrace them and live them. – Dorrisia Taylor

Deeply Nuanced

We are nuance. I look in the mirror and I see you, not for who you are but what we are as one. Turn us inside out and there is nothing that makes us distinct from one another. Through  your eyes the beauty of nuance is seen; it shows how open your mind is to the truth around you. That alone tells me that we are different but also the same. We are the same because the nuance that I see within you, I see in myself. When this world tells us differently just know that I am you and you are me.

To the Women of the World

International Women’s day should be everyday and in my world that is exactly the way it is.

” The heart of a woman is pure, her soul is tender, her mind is powerful and her body is beautiful. God gave her the gift to bear the fruit of life, He did so because he knew she was and she is strong enough to hold the weight of the world within her . She is a conqueror and most of all she is woman ”

Success of the Sister March

Success is moving forward when all odds are against you.

Success is when the oppressed stand up and make a difference.

Success is when women unite together and fight for their rights.

Success is not only women fighting for their rights but the rights of the LGBT community, Children, Immigrants and everyone else who are at odds with the systematically unjust ways of the old laws.

Success is when men stand behind women and support them.

Success is when human beings are no longer labels.

Success is when we stop letting politics blind us with lies that are told to divided, conquer and control the why we think. When we stop being so easily influenced by what we hear then success will no longer be  a word but an action that forces close minds to open, gives light to those in the dark and puts love in the hearts that are filled with hatred.

Women are the mothers of the world, so we can change it. Let us teach our children and grandchildren the true essence of what life has to offer by marching with love and compassion. Our great grandmothers did it for us.

“We are Mothers, We are Daughters, We are Wives, We are Women and most of all we are Sisters!”- Dorrisia Taylor

Beautifully Aesthetic

Aesthetic is unseen because it hides behind the word beautiful. They mean the same thing but beautiful is a word that everyone wants to hear. Aesthetic is a word that is used when something visual or appealing is appreciated. We cannot appreciate beauty if we do not know the philosophy of what makes a person or a thing beautifully aesthetic.

He appreciates the aesthetic of her curves, he understood the aesthetic behind her eyes he knew why she walked around with a smile on her face, because she appreciated and loved herself more then he could ever aesthetically love her. – Dorrisia Taylor

Exquisitely Exquisite

Exquisitely Exquisite

I love the piano and how exquisite it sounds. It is something about the chills that the chords bring to my body when played. I am listening to this song by John Legend called, “I Know Better” and I hear the cords of the organ being played and it sounds so exquisite. This song takes me back to when I was a young girl at church on a Sunday morning singing praise and worship and not being able to hear myself sing over the organ and the drums. There is nothing like the praise and worship songs that grandma use to sing back in the day the songs were exquisite, powerful and unforgettable (they don’t have worship service like that anymore). That is why I like this song, not only that but when I listen to exquisite music that I can connected with, it gives me life. I began to sing the song as if I was on stage and the audience listening and singing along with me. They were listening not because my voice is as exquisite as John Legend, but they listened, because they can connect as well. Just like the exquisite older lady who I looked up to because she wore pencil skirt suits with matching heels with matching lipstick and big hats. She always sung off key in the pew in front of me, crying with her hands up in the air and all I can do is listen to each word that flowed out her mouth, because each word was exquisite, those words she sung were her truth and her cries of praise to God. That is why I pour my heart out when I sing songs that I connect with like “I Know Better” by John Legend because not only are they his exquisite truth, but they are mine as well.

Exquisite means beautiful or delicate but most of all it is something that is wonderful. – Dorrisa Taylor
